It would be very nice if we could easily set a "max" on a markup at the carrier level. We currently charge a markup % for all clients. This works well 99% of the time. When it does not work well is when the shipping is very expensive (mainly large International shipments) where the markup could be $200+. When the markup is this expensive, the total rate to the customer ends up being much higher than they can attain themselves.

Through Markup Profiles, Techship can accomplish this to some extent but the main issue is that it needs to be done at the service level. We ship with MANY services so this particular setup would take a long time. In addition, we would need to remember to apply this markup profile whenever we add a new service which could lead to errors (us forgetting).

The ability to add a % markup with a 'total rate cap/max' at the carrier level would be ideal.
