The new
Split Shipment Action
allows you to automatically split orders that a single warehouse can't fulfil.
Why is this awesome?
It gives you more
flexibility
and
control
over your fulfillment process, helping to:
  • Optimize inventory use
    across multiple locations.
  • Reduce manual work
by automating the shipment splitting process.
  • Improve customer satisfaction
by ensuring orders are fulfilled promptly.
How it works
The
Split Shipment
is available as a
sales order rule action
, allowing you to tailor it to your specific business needs. When configuring this action, you can set the
Maximum Number Of Shipments
and choose how to
Prioritize Shipments Based On
:
  • Count Of Item
(splits based on the number of items)
  • Total Order Value
(splits based on the order's monetary value)
To get started, create a new
sales order rule
and set the trigger to
Allocate & Fulfill Sales Order UI
. You can find the
Split Shipment Action
within the available actions when editing the rule.
