Currently techOMS deals with physical warehouse. We are looking to create a virtual warehouse for the primary purpose of managing inventory. A virtual warehouse will represent a collection of two or more physical warehouse.
The virtual warehouse task is split into three parts.
Part 1 - Create Virtual Warehouses to group multiple physical warehouses into a single, logical inventory pool.
Inventory availability is automatically recalculated in near real time whenever stock changes occur.
  • Aggregate inventory across multiple
warehouses
  • View total, allocated, available, and incoming
quantities
  • Real-time updates as inventory changes
Part 2 - Orders can be placed into a Virtual Allocation (order hold) state before physical inventory is committed.
Inventory is protected immediately while allowing time for validation, edits, or cancellation.
  • Immediate inventory protection at order intake
  • Configurable hold timers
  • Manual release and safe cancellation
  • Order updates before physical allocation
  • Real-time inventory synchronization across
channels
Part 3 - reserve inventory for specific sales channels and define channel-level safety stock thresholds.
These controls allow you to prioritize channels and prevent overselling—without manual monitoring.
Key Features
  • Fixed inventory reserves by SKU and channel
  • Date-effective reserves for promotions or contracts
  • Channel-specific safety stock thresholds
  • Low-stock indicators and consolidated inventory visibility
Why It Matters
  • Guarantee inventory for key channels
  • Reduce cancellations and customer frustration
  • Eliminate manual “inventory babysitting”
