Currently techOMS deals with physical warehouse. We are looking to create a virtual warehouse for the primary purpose of managing inventory. A virtual warehouse will represent a collection of two or more physical warehouse.
The virtual warehouse task is split into two parts.
Part 1 - Virtual Inventory
  • Inventory adjustments
  • Discreet inventory for each sales channel
  • Safety stock setting for inventory
Part 2 - Logical Allocation and Sales Order Hold
  • Introduce a hold location within techOMS
  • Enable sales orders to be held in this location with logical allocation providing real-time inventory adjustments to the sales channels
  • Update the sales channel plugins to include the ability to get order updates when the hold expires to pick up any changes to the original order.
